If you like sophisticated country living, my fifth rated community, may be exactly what you’re looking for. Shenandoah is an upscale community about 12 minutes west of Durango. Most of the homes were custom-built from 1995 and 2005; the typical lot is between 3 and 10 acres. The community has paved roads, underground utilities and central water. Horses are allowed in the community. Some homes have great valley and Lake Nighthorse views. Homes in Shenandoah sold in the $750,000 to $2.5M range during 2021/22, with an average price of $1.402M.
