The communities of Edgemont Highlands and Edgemont Ranch are my third rated community in this category. If you like living in the tall pines and being minutes from town, the Edgemont neighborhoods are hard to beat. There is central water and sewer; natural gas is available for most homes. These beautiful homes are typically on .25 acre lots and sold in the $700,000 to $1.3M range during 2021/22, with an average price of $860,000. Townhomes sold in the $132,500 to $675,000 range, with an average price of $376,500. The homes were predominantly built between 1994 and 2017; there are a number on undeveloped lots available for sale in the Highland section. Residents enjoy an abundance of open space, trails, and access to the Florida River.
